Hypersonic Business Jet (HBJ)

HBJ is a new concept of small hypersonic erospaceplane integrating aeronautical and space technologies to reduce flight times on transoceanic stratospheric routes and offer access to suborbital space in a practical and safe way as today's air transport. The project is one of a kind, a synthesis of potential and innovation.
It is powered with an innovative propulsion system, which combines turbo-ramjet and liquid booster with green fuels.
Potential markets are: (i) fast business passenger transport; (ii) cargo transport of urgent and perishable materials/transplant organs; (iii) suborbital tourism, experimentation in microgravity, high altitude air-launch of microsatellites in low Earth orbit.

Industrial application
HBJ refers to an innovative product of the aerospace sector identifiable as an aerospaceplane. It refers to various market segments: (i) fast business passenger transport; (ii) cargo transport of urgent and/or perishable materials and/or transplant organs; (iii) suborbital tourism, experimentation in microgravity, high altitude air-launch of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) microsatellites.
Advantage factor
The only concept of its kind in the world. Expected impacts are: - launch of the first manned suborbital microgravity platform taking off and landing from around 80% of existing airports. - guarantee industrial competitiveness through innovation and the creation of new start-ups for the acquisition of new market segments. - increase national independence in access to space - strengthen relations between large industries, SMEs, research centers and universities.
