Categories
State of development
- Prototype
Industrial application
- power converters for renewable energy, smart grids, e-mobility, electrical drives, industry applications, robotics etc.
Advantage factor
- While conventional power converters implement two level operations, i.e. they switch voltage between 0 and V_max, MMCs produce staircase outputs (or inputs) where each stair is a small fraction of V_max: this greatly improves harmonics contents, eliminate distorted waveforms, reduce losses, heating, stress, torque and frequency pulsations and other negative effects as well, they don’t need expensive and bulky transformers and filters, necessary to fulfill standards and to improve operations.
Proposal cooperation
- Know-how transfer; IPR assignment; Venture capital financing; Industrial partnership
